Everyone, including myself, is swept up in Obama-mania. I am overwhelmed and overjoyed by the dawn of a new day for the United Stated, for North America and for the World. I feel the weight of the expectations of the world on this man and the feeling that everyone is excpecting him to be a true messiah for so many.
I loved so many parts of his inauguration. The poem by Elizabeth Alexander called "Praise Song for the Day" was stunningly beautiful. I cannot wait to read it again. To encompass it again. I can't wait. As much as I hate the idea of a homophobic man leading the country into the Lord's prayer, Rick Warren, his prayer was wonderful and meaningful and I can't wait to re-read it. I have included a link above to Obama's Inaugural Address. Read it if you didn't hear it. It is fabulous.
The daily (or close to daily!) rants and raves of a self-proclaimed princess as she tries to find her way through life's twist and turns........
Thanks for stopping by,
Princess Steph
