Buy of the Day - Hey's Carry on

We are going away in a week and I need a new carry on for the plane. i think that i need this one. i really like it. it comes in a bunch of different colors and is really well organized on the inside, I think. I have to go and see the inside of one, but I am already really liking it a lot. it is not expensive, so even if i use it a few times it will be worth it. now to find one that is on sale would be even better......

Buy of the Day (for yesterday) - Fondue Pot

i love fondue. I host at least one fondue party a year. We do cheese and chocolate fondue. I always serve a salad, new potatoes, apples, bread, asparagus and some other veggies with the cheese and then pound cake, fruit, marshmallows (homemade if I am feeling industrious), shortbread and other fun stuff with the chocolate. The Le Creuset pot is the best for Cheese Fondue and is so pretty. I love it. with chocolate I use a white one that is especially made for chocolate (it can't get as hot as the chocolate burns). I think that I will have to organize one of these evening soon, now that the weather is getting chilly.

Buy of the Day - Screwpull

This is the grand daddy of wine openers. I love this. Yes it is over $100 and I know that seems like a lot of money, but this is fantastic. It is so easy to use and is really such a statement on your bar. So good. I have had mine for 3 years and it is still good to go. Really worth it. Now i know that it is still 1 day away from December, but this would be a great gift for anyone.

Buy of the Day for Friday - Bobbi Brown Bronzing moisturizer

I use this everyday. For someone with dry, sensitive skin, its a great foundation/base. I have been using it for 2 years now and love it. I did find last week that the color was a bit ashy for the first time, but when I went to the counter to speak with the Bobbi Brown rep he reminded me that I have to add some color back onto my face after applying. Did this on Friday and we are all better. It is amazing how much of a difference it made. All better now. Very happy and back to being obsessed with a really good staple. I love Bobbi Brown.

Buy of Yesterday - Spanx

I wear these everyday - Spanx. Under pants, under dresses - all the time. everything just fits better. I really am in love with them. I don't think that there has ever been a better product. I love them and find them quite expensive at $32 but Target has them for $10 called Assets. I bought two pairs last night and they are just as good. I wish that I had bought more of them. Oh well, next time.

Buy of the Day - foot petals

This is a great little company. I say little because I don't know, but I think that they are little. these little sole stopperz are great. They grip your shoes so that you don't slip and they add some cushioning. I like the clear ones, they are great. This company (I think) also makes cushioning to go on the balls of the foot of your shoes and also a grip for the heel of the shoe. I line all of my formal shoes with these. they are great and help to make a long night in fabulous shoes a bit more doable.

Buy of the Day - Digital Camera

7.2 Megapixel, 5x the zoom yumminess. This is my new, soon to be new, purse camera. I have been looking for a small camera that has a stronger zoom than the 3x that the other ones have. Its between $450 and $500 and I will buy it before I go away in December. My old one is too big for my new fabulous clutches that I am slightly obsessed with. They only hold a blackberry, this tiny camera, lipstick and credit cards. The joys of being a woman.....

Rescinding a Buy of the Day - red dress

I have to rescind a Buy of the Day. I am terribly terribly sad. I found online what I thought was the most perfect red holiday dress. I loved it. I had to have it. I needed it. Until........ I tried it on. It is hideous. It is awful. It is so unattractive.

I held such hope for such a cute dress. I assume this may look as fabulous as I had hoped that it would look on me on a skinny lizzy, but for now I will just be bitter. Bitter that I feel fat and ugly and gross in it. Bitter that I am not pretty. Bitter that the dreams of the perfect red dress are dead.

Buy of the Day - Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Highlighted hair

I know that they are $30+ a piece, but these are amazing. My hair smells great, is shiny, feels un highlighted or coloured (first time in a while), and is worth every penny. (do we even need to mention that it is in the most fabulous pink bottles that may, just may, match some of my bathroom!) It is the Kerastase Reflection line. So good. I would also recommend that the sun care line for the hair is fabulous. Protects the $300 highlights from being bleached out in the sun. Fantastic. I think that the sun care line is going to be another whole post as it is so fabulous.

I have loved these little earrings for a while. They are from a Canadian company, Birks. You can wear them on the yellow or white gold side and can't see the other color. Just gorgeous. Worth every penny. Two sets of earrings in one. They are the perfect everyday earrings. There on the future buy list. Everyone needs an iPod. Mine has died. I need to buy a new one. I am in a desperate situation. I can't wait any more. It is a life blood for me. I listen to podcasts and music and just have it on me all the time. It is such a load of crock that mine died and they can't fix it. Yuck. Anyway, its $300 I think and I can get one of the red product ones to support Aids in Africa. Perfect.

Plans for Buy of the day in December

I think through out December I am going to do a Christmas/Chanukah buy everyday for the holidays. I like the idea and have already scoped out some great things. i can't wait. Bring on December 1st!!!!! This also happens to be the day that I start decorating, cooking, listening to Christmas carols etc. Its around the corner!!!!
