Lack of the phone ringing

One thing about going into seclusion and not keeping in contact with friends is that your phone doesn't ring.  It is odd.  My phone no longer rings.  I can't remember the last time I talked on it to a friend.  It hit me today that I can't remember the last time it rang from a friend, not a creditor, not a doctor, not a family member, but a friend.  I wonder if the lonelier someone gets the less things like phones ring, doors knock, e-mails are sent, facebook wall posts are recieved......Maybe this lack of communication in my life is just part of my becoming a secluded mess......
