The Battle of Princess vs the Ants

I have ants. Ants all over my apartment. I can't seem to get rid of them. They are the little ones that are everywhere. I am vacuuming them up like they are no bodies business but they just keep appearing. I don't know where they are coming from, I don't know what they are attracted to, I don't know how to get rid of them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Tomorrow off to home depot to speak to the "pest control, orange aproned" helper. Hopefully they have some ideas......
